When it comes to water tanks, apart from concrete, use of cast iron tanks was known for over 5 decades. all advantages of steel panel tanks are over shadowed by the susceptibility to corrosion & hence high maintenance coasts, the advent of hot press moulded panels are low weight & have permitted storage of all types of water including highly chlorinated water and seawater the tanks design also elim-inated the need for any metal parts for inter-nal reinforcement ensuring high water quality during storage.
